It's a . . .

boy! Here is the proof

and him saying hello.
The pictures aren't that great but you get the idea. Jessi is doing better than I expected considering that she was convinced that it was a sister for her. I think she will be fine once the baby is here. Now we have to try to agree on a name!

Car Wash

We had temperature in the 90's this week and so for FHE we decided to go out and enjoy the weather and wash the car. The kids and MJ had a great time! I let them have the fun and took some pictures. I dried when they were done. We were having a great time until it was time to come in and I took off Tanner's clothes. He was drenched! He literally threw a fit that lasted for 30 minutes. MJ had to get in the tub to hold him so we could wash him and he wouldn't hurt himself. It was quite impressive!

Helping Daddy.

More Helping.

Playing in the bucket.

The sponge that he was using had to weigh 5 pounds with the water in it. He got drenched carrying it around. But had a blast!

Jessi's favorite part was jumping on the sponge and getting the soap out.

Tanner's attempt at a smile. Saying "Cheese".

Easter Sunday

Easter morning after Daddy woke up and Tanner helped Mommy with my contacts so I could get pictures, we let the kids find the baskets that the Easter bunny hid for them. Tanner's was in the shoe box and Jessi's was in the oven.

Tanner helping with contacts.

Tanner digging in to his candy before breakfast.

Jessi getting her basket and looking like she does every morning until we have to go somewhere. It doesn't bother her that her hair is in her face. I did do it before we went to church though, does that count?

More attempts at getting a cute picture of both kids together. Failed again.

After a great day at church, we were able to celebrate Easter at MJ's Aunt Lorraine's house. They had a little egg hunt for the kids and then a great dinner. Here are some pictures. I love having family in town so that we can get together for holidays!

Playing ring toss.

Egg hunt. Jessi moved too fast. Daddy helped Tanner get the golden egg!

Egg Dying

On Friday night, good Friday, Mj worked a half day, so after he relaxed a little we dyed eggs. Tanner hadn't ever done this and Jessi remembered it a little bit but we had a great time. Then we put stickers on the eggs. Aunt Jessica was able to join us for the stickers.

After we finished the eggs, the kids had fun playing with the stickers too.

Egg Hunt

Every week we go to the park with some other moms/grandmas and kids from our ward. The Tuesday before Easter, the weather wasn't that great so we went to a friend's home and had an egg hunt. The kids had a great time and we still have way too much candy in the house from it and Sunday. Here are some pictures. The kids wouldn't hold very still so they aren't that great.

Tanner was more interested in what was inside than finding eggs. I let him watch me stuff the eggs. He even was taking them from others' baskets.

Jessi liked to find them but was also very good at sharing with the younger kids since her basket was full.

These were my attempts at getting a picture of them together. I don't know where they get their expressions.

Here is there bootie. Tanner was attempting to smile with chocolate in his mouth.

New Addition in October

That is right, we are expecting a baby again! The baby should arive some time in October. We will find out hopefully what we are having the end of this month. Jessi really wants a girl so for her sake and ours, we hope that it is a girl, but will he happy either way. I have had a few ultrasounds aready so hear are a few pictures of our baby to be. Good luck picking out features, I have a hard time and the doctors pointed them out to me.

These were both done today at about 12 weeks.

Spring Break

My mom and brother, Chris, were able to come out and visit us this week from WA. They drove out Friday/Saturday last week and left this afternoon. We had a great time just hanging out and relaxing. I felt a little bad, and I think David was a little bored, but we did make it to the beach one day. Jessi made the comment that she wished that they just lived down the street so that they could come over more often. Tanner loved being David's shadow and they enjoyed teasing each other. It was a great visit and we were sad to see them go.

Here are some pictures from the beach:

It was a little cool with the wind when we got there so David and MJ decided to lay down and relax. MJ ended up taking a nap and David ended up with a sunburn:)

Grandma did what they do best and entertained the kids for me so that I could just relax. I love that!!! The kids loved finding treasures and walking along the beach with her too.

We found a great big whole that was already there and set up our stuff right by it. Jessi loved playing in it and jumping into to. I got one shot of her mid jump.

Tanner of course couldn't not be like his sister and tried to jump too. He would jump in the air, land on his bum and then slide down the hill. He had the best windbreaker pants to do it in too.

David tried his hand at boogy boarding. We borrowed some stuff from some great people in the ward (THANKS) and he actually got the hang of it after a while. Too bad the waves weren't that big and it was windy most of the day. I think he would make a great beach bum.

After MJ's nap, he enjoyed playing with the kids and they loved that he took the day off to come with us. David got in on the action too. He and Tanner were throwing sand at each other and they loved it.

Over all it was a great day and not too cold. I say a success!
