Hunter 4 Months

Hunter is 4 months now. He is trying to sit up on his own now, but falls forward still. He also isn't quite rolling over but is getting really close. He has done it in his sleep but not while he is awake. He loves to roll on his side when he sleeps though. He loves to watch Jessi and Tanner and usually doesn't mind when they clobber him with love. Tanner has also started to interact with him and Hunter loves it! Also last night Hunter decided to laugh and we caught it on tape. He is usually a pretty happy baby, which means we don't have much practice when he isn't happy. But we love him and wouldn't have him any other way. Maybe next month we well have some pictures of him with teeth. He has a really mellow personality and is mostly content to sit and watch what others are doing.
His stats this month as of today at the doctor are Weight: 16.9 pounds and Height: 26 inches, both are in the 80's for percentile. He is wearing 6-9 and 9 month clothes and still gaining.

Here is Hunter a few weeks ago and him wiggling around and grabbing things. He has been so close to rolling for so long.

Jessi playing with Hunter.

We had just said prayer for the night and the kids were laughing at him during prayer and I though it would be good to get on video. I think he didn't like MJ's shirt touching his head.

This is the first time I have gotten him to laugh. And he kept doing it so we got out the camera. Unfortunately I don't know how to upload from our digital camcorder so we have the lower quality of our digital camera, but at least it is recorded.

First Beach trip of 2010

Last week a lot of schools in our area were off on break. It was supposed to be a beautiful day, not much wind and fairly warm for the beach so we decided to go. We found out the weather forecast was wrong once we got there, but the kids still had fun and we stayed pretty warm even though the sun never came out. I always bring layers just in case and I was glad that we did. This was Hunter's first trip of many. He did pretty well, sleeping most of the time and being passes from mom to mom and keeping us warm. I learned that I need to bring a thermos of warm water for him though after I had to walk down the beach looking for warm water when he refused his bottle. Over all it was a good trip and the kids had fun. Sorry not too many pictures this time.

Fun at the park

A few weeks ago we went to the Dennis the Mennis park in Monterey. The kids had a blast and so did MJ playing with them. It got all their energy out after being couped up in the house with all the rain we have been having. It was a beautiful day. Here are some pictures and videos if I can get them to work.

There was a really cool old train there that Daddy and the kids loved to play on. I was a little nervous watching them up so high.

They were able to go all over the place.

This was a really fun slide to go down. There was a long line for it too.

This is Hunter's first slide ride.

They enjoyed climbing on everything too. Tanner wasn't so sure about coming down the way Jessi had though. I love that his feet are off the ground in the picture of the two of them.

Hunter enjoyed his stroller and stayed warm there until the last few minutes when I got sick of trying to go around everything since it has mostly sand at this park and the stroller doesn't work well in sand.

This was another fun slide that didn't have as much of a line. Sorry I don't know how to turn the videos.

New Addition

We have another new addition to our family. We are saying goodbye to our Camry of 5 1/2 years and we have added an SUV to the mix. We drove it home yesterday and I drove around in it today. Here are some pictures. We are adjusting to having a lot more space and I will be able to park it eventually.

It is a 2004 Toyota Sequoia Limited.

Clearing out toys

Jessi wanted a new toy the other day and MJ and I told her if she got rid of half her toys we would get it for her, knowing that she wouldn't be able to do it. Well she did try, and I am actually surprised at how well she did. But we didn't quite make the cut. The picture of the toys on her bed are what she decided to give away. Everything else is what she decided to keep. We were playing in her room at the time and it was quite entertaining to hear why she had to keep what she did.

Hunter's "new" toys

We got the highchair and the exersaucer down from the rafters in the garage a few weeks ago and tried them out on Hunter. I think we were about a month early with this but we were thinking about it so we got them down. Here are a few pictures of him in them.

Because he was not quite ready and we have a friend with a baby about 2 months older we decided to switch toys for a while. So Hunter is borrowing the play mat from them and we don't have to look at the exersaucer for a little while. It is working out really well.

Also about 2 weeks ago we weighed Hunter again and he was at 16.4 lbs. (Gained 1.4 lbs in 2 weeks. He is also in mostly 6-9 month clothes with a few 6 months outfits that still fit. I hope he slows down soon so that he doesn't catch up to Tanner too fast. But at this rate they will be in the same size clothes by the time they share a room so that might cut back on some of the storage issues I will face:)
Enjoy the pictures.

Kids Playing

Occasionally Tanner and Jessi get along long enough to actually have fun and play together without me helping. This is proof of one such time. They called it the little forest. It is a bunch of snakes and lizards and some rocks in Tanner's truck.
