Giordano's Pumpkin Patch

We went to another pumpkin patch with some friends last week too. I liked it a lot. It was just the right size for the kids that we had. And best of all it was only $2 to ride the train and everything else was free!

Jessi loved these bunnies. Tanner wasn't quite sure what to think of them but after we went back in a second time he got the idea. I think he even got brave enough to touch one. He was more interested in their nasty water than them for the most part though so we didn't stay in long once he discovered that.

We got to ride the train too. I was the only adult on the train since it was pretty small and Tanner was the youngest. There is a little gyser that goes off as we go around in a circle and Jessi and another little girl were pretty scared so I was glad that I was on. Tanner liked it so much that he tried to get back in the gate by himself.

Here are the pictures that we tried to take of the four kids that were there from the ward. As you can see I didn't get a single good one of all the kids but I thought it was pretty funny looking at all of them together.

Tanner decided that he liked to roll pumpkins and would try to lift the biggest one he could find. He was able to turn over a few. He and his little friend Nate also had a blast playing with the wheelbarrow and the pile of pumkins.

I just loved the kids running through the field full of pumkins. I couldn't resist the pictures.

They also had a blast running through the hay mazes. I think they probably would have run through all day if we had let them. My friend Beth also had a go at it.

I brought their costumes for some pictures and I'm glad that I did. I never got a picture of them at the other events and it is supposed to rain tomorrow on Halloween so I'm not sure that I'll get them then either. Jessi is a turtle (really the turtle from "Over the Hedge", but she just says a turtle or sometimes "speedy") and Tanner is Nemo. I'm glad that we have gotten so much use out of that costume.

And finally the picture of me with the kids. They were both ready to be done sitting still so I'm glad that one of them turned out okay.

Uesugi Pumpkin Patch

A few weeks ago we went to a pumpkin patch together as a family with Mj's parents. Here are some picture of our adventure.

Jessi and Tanner measuring up. I love their expressions.

We were able to ride on a few rides. One of those was a carousel.

Do you think that Jessi loved the horses? Tanner rode all by himself even though Gaga was right next to him just in case. Jessi even tried to feed the horse she rode.

While we waited in lines there were things for the kids to do. This fort made of hay bails was great. Tanner loved climbing on it and getting inside and trying to walk around. It was probably 6 inches deep with straw. We found hay everywhere later. Jessi didn't like this one as much.

Tanner also liked to pretend to push other peoples' wheelbarrows while we were walking around. This ride is one of Jessi's favorites it is called the Moo train. Tanner wouldn't sit down so he didn't get to ride but her did get to share some Slurpee with Daddo since it was hot that day.

This is another train ride that we all got to go on. Tanner still didn't want to sit still but I finally got him to by making the "choo-choo" noise. This is him doing it. We might have to take up three rows next year, we were a little smooshed with just two.

We all got to go on a hay ride around the farm that this pumpkin patch was on. They sell all sorts of things and are famous for their flowers. Tanner had to sit up in the middle with the other kids, and the kids weren't too sure about the ride at first but they enjoyed it later. Those are the flowers in the background. Also Jessi liked this "fairy" picture to put her face in and Tanner couldn't get enough of the giant blow up pumpkin.

Overall we have a great time!

Smile

Mj was giving Tanner a ride on his back the other night and turned around and this is what I saw. It made me smile I hope you do too.

Pez

Jessi enjoyed playing with my old collection of Pez this week. We set them up along the hallway then Tanner and Jessi would knock them down. Tanner would come and grab one and run to the end of the hall and "hide" in the corner then Jessi would chase after him and bring it back to put against the wall. They thought it was the best game! I loved it because they were playing together.

Nick Jr

Jessi has loved playing on NickJr.com. Today she was on the phone with my mom and said that she printed on a lantern. So here it is Grandma.

Goodbye Old Friend

Tanner has become very independent this week. He has decided that he won't eat in his highchair and also didn't eat in his booster chair and Ga-ga's house. So he is now eating at the table with us sitting on a phone book. He has done pretty well so far. He keeps me hoppin' this one. Here is the first time I gave in and let him sit at the table to eat breakfast with Jessi. Just look at that face.
I'm still working on the text on the pictures, I'll get he hang of this someday.

Yippee!!!

I am trying to do a few posts before we go to the park and I hadn't heard Tanner for a few minutes. After a second I remember that my bathroom door is open and go running down the hall. He is no where. Then I see him in my bathroom and thing "Oh NO!" But I am pleasantly surprised that he has closed the toilet and hasn't even "gotten his hands wet" and is trying to flush. We are making progress!!!

My monkeys

Tanner has been freakishly strong in his upper body for as long as I can remember. This is why he is such a strong climber. I finally got him and Jessi on video hanging on the table. He does this every time he touches the table and usually does pull-ups too. So enjoy my monkeys!

Tanner's fit

Tanner's newest thing is throwing fits. This is one of his mild ones. Usually they also include kicking legs, hitting anything near him, and much more "fake" or real crying. He won't take his pacifier or his "Mr. Oso" (puppet blanket) while in this fit and it is very frustrating at times but usually pretty funny. I am also trying to break him of his pacifier except at nap and bed time since he is continuousely drooling while it is in his mouth. Overall he is doing really well with it. Next step: NO pacifier! I'll wait a few weeks to try this. Wish me luck.

Our pumpkin patch

We picked our pumpkins recently. Enjoy the pictures. Jessi grabbed the top of the pumpkin and learned the hard way that it is a little poky. She cried for a few minutes. I think that she has her daddy's pain threshold:)

Cupcakes

Jessi and Tanner helped me make cupcakes the other day. This was their favorite part.

I am trying something new with my pictures so hopefully this works.

What Deck?

We updated our Deck a few weeks ago. Here are the pictures of the progress.

The Slide

Jessi and Tanner had a blast playing in Grandma's backyard. There is a slide attached to the hill that they loved. Then Uncle Joe decided to add some excitement and make it longer. Here they are having fun.

Pictures from WA

After 16 more hours on the road and a little more rain than we would have liked we are back home safe and sound and no more tickets. Here are the pictures from our trip. Enjoy! I think it you click on it they will get a little bigger.
