Finally up to date, at least until tomorrow

"Just go to bed Tanner . . .

I don't care where."
That is what I said to Tanner the other night.
And this is what we found then.



And this is what we found tonight.



Tanner had been having a hard time going to bed lately. Sometimes he will be coming out up to 10 times and 2 hours after we have put him to bed. So out of frustration I made the comment mentioned above.
He also had been getting dressed after he is in his PJ's for the night so we never know what we are going to find when we go to bed.
The last two nights I have threatened to take his new bike away for the week and he has not come out at all. Who knew all he needed was motivation:)

Garden update

Our garden is finally growing and starting to produce. We are excited and hope that it doesn't die the next two weeks while we are away.

The kids were so excited to eat their cherry tomatoes.





Unfortunately our peas are now dead. MJ thinks we planted them to late and it is now just too hot for them.

Tanner Turns 4!

We had a park birthday for Tanner again this year with his friend Owen that shares the same day with him. We went really love key this year and just had friends come to the park and bring their own punch and then we provided otter pops for them. It was super easy and everyone had fun. I want every year to be this easy!









Later that night Tanner was able to open a present from Jessi that she picked out for him at the dollar store. He enjoyed them all and is still playing with them.


Later that night MJ and I took Tanner to pick out a two wheeled training bike. He chose a Cars bike and has ridden almost every day since we brought it home and is getting really good. I haven't taken a picture yet:)

Then the day after his birthday we had his "family party" as he liked to call it. We went to Shin Sushi and then back here to open presents and have "cake".



He chose lemon cupcakes from Costco as his cake this year and I couldn't have been happier.


I can't believe my little man is getting so big! I love this little guy. Even on his tough days he still melts my heart.

Emma Prusch Farm July 2011

We went to the farm again with some friends. Really low key, lunch and wandering for a few hours to kill some time before naps. It was a great time and nice to get out.

First Beach day 2011

So we finally made it to the beach this summer! It seems like I have been so busy, but really it has just been hard to schedule a day to go since we have been doing swim lessons.
Anyway, we finally made it last week. We went with some friends from church and school. It was a beach I hadn't been to before, but love called Seabright. Can you say FREE PARKING and LIFE GUARDS!!! I think it will be my new favorite.

I didn't take many pictures, I was too busy enjoying the day. The weather was perfect and right before we left we even went and got our toes wet a little bit.

Drive in Movies

The week after the 4th, we went to the drive-in. We were worried when we first pulled up because we were super early, but the line was really long. We later found out that there were two screens rented out by a hot rod club. We we got to see all the old cars while we waited for our movie to start.




We watched Cars 2. It is really cute and we will probably be adding it to our library after it comes out since Tanner and Hunter, and MJ slept through parts of it.

4th of July 2011

We had a great 4Th of July weekend! We started it out a little early with some sparklers on the 1st.





Then on Saturday we were able to have a BBQ with some friend and play in their pool and on their slip-n-slide. Unfortunately I forgot the camera:( But it was still fun and we broke out some more sparklers there too.

Then on Monday we started our day with a breakfast at Flames, a local restaurant, then MJ can home and made home make strawberry Ice cream (no wood chips added David) and potato salad for dinner at Gaga and Daddo's house.



After dinner with had more sparklers.







And a few small fireworks too.






Thanks Daddy! We had a great time with you all weekend.



We had some dessert too.

Hunter even enjoyed a horse ride.

JULY!!!

Gilroy Gardens June 2011

We were lucky enough to be able to go to a little theme park near us with some friends from church a few weeks ago. It was a discount day and so we only spent $20 dollars for all of us to go instead of $40 per person. We had a great day and even with no nap and a lot of walking the kids did a great job. Thanks to a lot of extra help the day was wonderful.
