Crazy Weather

We have had a lot of rain here lately. But we also had some other crazy weather. Here are some fun pictures to remind us.

We had hale that came out the gutters and made a pile. Also we had a tornado warning this week for about an hour. We don't have basements here in CA so the TV said to go somewhere in the interior of the home away from windows. The only place in our house like that is the bathroom. So we through some blankets and pillows in the bathtub and read books until Daddy got home. Jessi really loved it.

Hunter 3 months

Hunter is 3 months and 15 pounds!!! He is going to catch up to that brother of his. He is awake more during the day and if I wrote it down so that I would remember he would probably be on a pretty good schedule of sleeping and eating. I just have been letting him do his own thing and when he gets tired, if we are home, I put him in his bed. He has rolled over 2 times from his tummy to his back and loves to kick at his toys that hang down from the bouncer. I wish that I had a toy to put over him while he is laying on his back so that his hands got more practice too. I'll have to work on that.
He is sleeping pretty well for only 3 months too. He is eat about 6or 7 at night and then not eat again until 3 or 4 in the morning. He wakes up 1-4 times in between that for the Binky but won't eat. This kid knows when he is hungry and when he is tired. It will be nice when he can tell me that too. I can't wait for him to start sucking his thumb(if he ever does).
Here are some more pictures of him.

Jessi still loves to snuggle Hunter all the time. We try to get her to do it when he isn't asleep.

Here are some funny faces. You can see his third chin in this one.

Here is Hunter in the action of rolling/tipping over.

He loves sucking on his fingers when he can get them in his mouth. I love how blue his eyes are too.

Here is his favorite sleeping position. He loves to hold his blankets while he is falling asleep.

Tanner 2 1/2

Tanner is now two and a half. He is getting so big. He is finally past the 25lb make at 26lbs last Sunday on Gaga's scale. He loves to play with Jessi and for the most part they play well. He has started to tease her a little though but if she asks him to do something he usually will say, "of course." He is a sweet little guy and we love him so much.
We tried a day of potty training and by the end of the day we made it to the potty more than we missed, but he didn't want to try the next day and I'm okay with that. I think this summer will be a good time to try again unless he wants to try earlier.
He loves to play with anything with wheels and also loves balls.
He still loves to run and jump off everything and thank goodness he has a heard head. I think he will still be our child that goes to the ER the most, but hopefully not for awhile.

New Craft Cupboard

I was tired of always having to get the kids crayons and things from our cupboard in the closet so I decided to get them their own cupboard. This is us putting it together for FHE one night. I wish it was a little bigger and taller so I could put the paints in it too, but it will do for now.

The kids were pretending to be dogs in this picture.

Jessi Turns 5!

On Jessi's actual birthday she got to open her gift from us and then we went out to dinner with family at her favorite restaurant, Shin Sushi. (Yes, it is the same place as Daddy's favorite).
Here are a few pictures of our wonderful big girl.

I love that smile!

Here she is just posing for the camera, with a toy of course.

We got our hair cut yesterday. She wanted the stylist to straighten it for her. She looks so different.

Family Birthday Celebration

Later Sunday afternoon after we blessed Hunter we had all the extended family in the area over to our house to celebrate MJ and Jessi's birthdays. As always, good company and good food were in attendance. Here are some pictures of the event. (Jessi got a fever right as everyone was arriving but it went away with Tylenol, she wore herself out the day before at her party)

Here is Jessi, bright red cheeks and all, opening a few gifts. Thanks you everyone!

Here is MJ. He got more coking supplies to make his amazing pies!

Here are Jessi and Daddy with "their" cake. Daddy got a marble cake a few days late after Mommy recovered from the busy weekend.

Hunter's Blessing

We blessed Hunter in church the first Sunday in January. MJ's parents, sister and her husband as well as my parents and two brothers were able to attend for the occasion. Unfortunately it was a crazy day at church and MJ's family had to get to their own ward before Sacrament meeting even let out, so we didn't get pictures at the church. Here are some pictures from after church though with Hunter still in his blessing clothes that Jessica found us in Utah over Christmas.

Pictures of us outside in the front yard. It was a little sunny that day so we all are squinting. Jessi and Tanner wanted in on the photo shoot inside also.

Here is Hunter in his blessing outfit. Also these are some of his first smiles on film. Daddy was hamming' it up behind the cameras.

MJ's 30th Birthday

After we did Jessi's party, we had MJ's birthday to celebrate. Since he turned 30 this year, he decided that he wanted something bigger and different this year. We had a bunch of friend meet us to play Bocci Ball and then went to dinner at MJ's favorite restaurant, Shin Sushi. We had a wonderful, "kid free" evening with great company. Thank you all for making MJ's birthday a very memorable one.

Jessi's Birthday party

Jessi turned 5 on the 8Th of this month. I asked her if she wanted a party of to go to Chuck E Cheese. I thought that having a party at home would be simpler and not as expensive. Boy was I wrong. MJ decided to go all out this year and we rented a jump house for the occasion. We ended up having the party on MJ's actual birthday because of some other scheduling issues but it worked out pretty well thanks to a lot of help from family.
Jessi and some friends and a few of their siblings loved it and Jessi had a great day, as did Daddy, spoiling his girl. We also did a little game and a pinata for the party and some food, cake, and cupcakes. Here are some pictures of the event. There are so many that I have been overwhelmed trying to go through them and decide which ones to use. (Sorry there are a ton, but a ton more that I didn't post.)

New Year's Day we decided to get what we could done for the party. That included stocking the pinata. Unfortunately the pinata we bought had no whole in it so we had to do a little minor surgery to get it open and then close it again. The kids didn't know the difference though.

While MJ and I went to get the last minute food items, the jump house was delivered. We had no idea that it was going to be so big, but it was a hit and EVERYONE enjoyed it.

Here was the spread for the party and Jessi's castle cake from Gaga. Thanks to my mom for cutting all the PB&J sandwiches into crowns for me.

Jessi enjoying the slide. I love that grin! It made all the stress of the day worth it.

Here is Tanner jumping and sliding.

Here are some cute picture of Jessi and Tanner enjoying the slide.

Here was the game that we played. I forgot to get a blindfold, but a tie worked well too.

Here are the kids and MJ enjoying the pinata. We figured since it was really MJ's birthday he could help Jessi break it after everyone else had a turn.

Here is everyone watching Jessi open gifts. She is one lucky, loved little girl!

Daddy enjoying the day with his kids. Hunter would have been there too but he was asleep.

Tanner enjoyed riding with Grandpa and Joe also. MJ and I went down together once too.

After everyone else left, the family enjoyed playing on the jump house and slide too. Thanks Adam for taking the pictures.

New Cots

Jessi and Tanner shared a room while my family was in town. They got to try out their new cots from Christmas. It worked out really well, and they never had a problem falling asleep. I just let them know if there were any problems that they wouldn't get to sleep on the cots and they went right to sleep.

New Years Eve

I haven't posted in a long time and it is because so many things happened within the first few days of 2010. I am trying to catch up now, so be patient and sorry if there is a mass posting tonight or tomorrow:)

New Year's this year was great! We were lucky enough to have my parents and two youngest brothers here for Hunter's blessing and there were able to come out early and be here to bring in the new year too. We enjoyed good food, too much junk food, a lot of wii, nintendo, and gamecube and of course the neighbors set off fireworks (a little too close for comfort). Jessi stayed up for the first time all the way to midnight. Unfortunately, MJ didn't make it and took a little nap, but woke in time for sparkling cider. We missed the ball drop since we have limited channels on the TV, but we all had an enjoyable night and we were grateful to go to bed.

Did anyone else notice the weird moon that night? There was a fuzzy circle around it at our house. I think if kind of freaked out my brothers. It was probably from the fireworks. I tried to get a picture but it didn't really work.
