Tanner turns 3!

It seemed that Tanner has been 2 for a long time, but he has finally made it to 3! We celebrated at the park the day before his birthday with his friend Owen who was born the same day and the same year. We had a lot of friend and their parents come and celebrate with us. It was a blast! Thank you to all of you.
We had a pinata, cupcakes, water balloons and squirt guns. Luckily the weather cooperated. I think the kids had a blast and I think we are going to do a combined birthday party for as long as the boys will let us get away with it.

There were a ton of chaotic pictures of the water balloon and squirt gun fight, but you get the picture with 30+ kids. Tanner of course had orange.
Thanks to Kat for staying up and helping me fill 200 balloons the night before. And Cindy for doing most of the other work for the party. She made some really cute cupcakes with her kids but I didn't get a picture of them.

On Tanner's actual Birthday, we had lunch with Gaga and Daddo at the bank (check Kathryn's post). Then that night we had waffles for dinner then opened a few gifts and had Aunts and Uncles over for cake and ice cream too.

Later that night, MJ and I took him to the toy store by himself to pick out a present. He chose a race track. Over all I think he had a great day!

Hunter 9 months

Hunter was 9 months the middle of July, but with so much going on, I didn't get a chance to post about him.
Stats:
Jessi was 21 lbs 4.8 oz and 29.5 inches long. (still the biggest)
Tanner was 18.13 lbs and 29 inches long.
Hunter was 19.15 lbs and 29.25 inches long.

Hunter is eating mostly table food now and is getting better at chewing. I usually just mash up what we are having and he eats a little at a time. I am feeding him 2 times a day and sometimes a third now if he isn't sleeping when I feed the other two. He would probably eat all day if I let him. He loves to eat!

He is not crawling yet, which I have mixed feelings about. He is still content to just roll everywhere. He has finally gotten up on his hands and knees in the crawling position and will rock back and forth, but if he wants to move from there he just flops down and rolls. He no longer falls from a sitting position to a rolling position, he has figured out to get down, but not back up. When he tries, it looks like he is doing leg lifts. When he does finally get it, I will have a lot more work with him than I do now, since he is so easy and can't get into anything yet. I will have to train everyone, myself included, to pick up after ourselves.

Hunter is still sleeping really well. Well enough that the boys now share a room and I have my playroom. (Pictures in another post) He is still taking 2, and sometimes 3 naps a day, and is still happy if he only gets one when we are out and about.

He is starting to get more vocal. Letting me know when he is not happy with something, like me leaving the room. Also he is babbling more, so maybe he will talk earlier than later. Only time will tell. He really doesn't say much yet. He likes dadadadada, but not connecting it to anyone and he says mamamama when he wants something.

We love him so much and enjoy all his chub and smiles daily. Enjoy the pictures.

Sister Visit

My sister was able to come out and visit us for two weeks in July. We did a ton of fun things, but mostly just let the kids entertain each other at the house. They did really well to play together and we didn't have to break of many fights. Here are some of the things we did. There are more things we did at her blog, you can link to it on my side bar. It is Kathryn and Nathan.

Went to the PARK

Tanner and Caleb playing/fighting and making up. They came to blows but then were best of friends again within a few seconds. I think it has a lot to do with Caleb's loving nature.

Went to the petting zoo portion first.

Hunter rode the cars with everyone else. He wasn't so sure of it, but ended up okay with it.

Had a ride on some scooters. I was changing a diaper so I didn't get all the kids pictures.

Saw some more animals including this Jaguar. He is usually not awake, but definitely was awake for this. Kind of scary. I was grateful for the glass.


Had Sleepovers EVERY NIGHT!

Church Softball

MJ wasn't working one weekend and had an opportunity to play some church softball. He made the only run for his team! We went and watched.

Back at home

Once we returned home. We were all exhausted! So we took a relaxing day and MJ washed our really dirty car with Jessi's help and then we played with some blocks and made a playground for Ariel and friends. Also we took some time to read for our summer reading program.

One Last Stop

Before leaving Idaho we decided to make one last stop at my grandparents home. We visited for about 30 minutes and took a few pictures then hit the road. I wish we were closer!

4th Of July Fun

We were super excited to be in Idaho for the 4Th. Not only to visit family, but to do fireworks too! After the reunions, we decided to go out to Grandpa's farm and shoot of our own instead of going to the city's show.

The boys had fun shooting of the fireworks and we had front row seats on the beach chairs. That was the only way to keep the kids at a distance that the mom's were comfortable with:)


My camera had a hard time focusing on all the changing lighting so my pictures aren't the best, but you get the idea.


I love the beautiful view that we always see from Grandpa's house.


I thought that my battery was dead, but I was able to use it again the next night to get some sparkler action at Aunt Corinne's house too.
