The rest of October

We did carve pumpkins this year. I am just really late posting. I am trying to catch up from last month before November is over.
Here are our pumpkins and pictures from this year.

Jessi and Tanner were curious about the "goo" but not enough to help get it out of the pumpkins. Later Jessi helped me get some seeds out to bake though.

MJ ended up carving the pumpkins while the kids watched this year. Jessi drew a picture of a princess pumpkin and MJ made it happen. Then he made a Mario pumpkin for Tanner with a mustache and all.

Here is a picture of everyone with their pumpkins.

Hunter did his own thing while "we" carved. He was content to just wander around and not be bothered. He loves shoes!

The final product. A Princess with crown and eyelashes. And Mario with his mustache.

Jessi had a party at school that MJ was able to attend. Then Tanner, Hunter and I came for the parade.

I love that she was so excited to take Tanner around with her.

For Halloween this year we went to our annual ward Trunk-or-Treat Party. Since Halloween was on Sunday this year we didn't get to go trick-or-treating on our street this year.

Jessi was Rosetta from Tinkerbell the movie.

Tanner was a ninja Turtle. I was pretty proud of my alterations from the turtle costume Jessi wore a few years ago.

Hunter was a monkey.

I attempted to get a good group shot. Here were my favorites.

There was another costume parade at the church. We had some friends help the boys walk so MJ could prepare the car and I could take pictures.

I hope all your Halloween festivities were fun too!

Decorations for Halloween

I decided to make some decorations with the kids one afternoon. We made some ghosts out of Elmer's glue, ghosts out of foot prints and spiders from hand prints. The others are more decorations care of Jessi.

Pumpkin Patch 2010

I am really far behind and trying to catch up. We did make it to the pumpkin patch this year. Actually a few times, just not all together. Here are some pictures of when we all went together and then Tanner went with a friend. Enjoy!

Goats

Jessi was mad that she couldn't go in, but she tried to pet them through the fence.

Jessi's Art

Jessi does art at school every day. SO as you imagine the pile was growing. In an attempt to save them, but not save them, we have taken pictures and kept a few.

They also do hats often.

Yesterday they wore what they have been working on for the last few weeks and came out of class dressed as Indians with papooses and all. The boys had quivers.

Walking

Here are a few videos of Hunter walking. The first is on his birthday and he just was done and didn't want to do it anymore. Then next is the next morning. And then a later that day.

Sorry for the tilted movies. I don't know how to turn them.

Comparison

Just for kicks.

Stats for the kids.

Jessi at 10.5 months: 21 lbs 4.8 oz, 29.5 inches
14 months: 24 lbs, 32.25 inches
Tanner:12 months: 19.12 lbs, 30.5 inches
Hunter: 12 months: 21 lbs 5 oz, 29.5 inches

Jessi is still the biggest!

ONE year old

I am late as usual in posting. I have a lot of catch up to do for October. Hunter turned one a few weeks ago. We had a little celebration with family at our house the Saturday before. It was good to see everyone and to let Hunter play with his cousin, Rochelle, now that they are a little more interactive.

Hunter had a lot of help opening the gifts.

He also paused a few times to give us some great "cheezers".

He lost interest fast in opening but then Chris had to help him hold on to his toy so the other kids wouldn't take it away.

Then we had cupcakes. The kids were trying hard to be patient.

Hunter was very calm about his cupcake. Very like him. He just slowly ate it bite by bite.

Then Daddo decided to get in on the action. I think he got a little off of Hunter's hand when his WHOLE HAND ended up in Daddo's mouth!

On Hunter's actual Birthday I was not the nicest Mommy and I took him to his check up and we got shots. He got 3 and I got 1 (flu shot). He is now 21lbs 5oz and 29.5 inches long. He has slowed down a little in his growth, which is normal and is now in the 28Th% for Weight and 42ND% for Height. Down from 40 and 81%. He is a happy growing baby.

Also in other news: Hunter WALKS! He decided that he would begin on this birthday. He had taken a few steps (1-2) before then in between things. But on his birthday he decided to walk 8-10 in a row and is getting more and more confident daily. He still prefers crawling, but if there is a wall near by or anything he can push across the floor, he will walk.

He is also drinking whole milk and eating all table foods. He is a little more picky about his milk than the other two, so we have to heat it in the microwave for a few seconds, but at least he isn't refusing it.

He is still sleeping fairly well, only occasionally does he not go back to sleep on his own at night. I think he is getting some more teeth again. He is up to 6 now.

He also is starting to be more fun for the other kids to play with. It is hard sometimes to keep them away from him. Jessi is still a little rough and half the time Tanner wants to tackle him, but overall he is a really good sport about them and they get along well.

He isn't talking yet, but he babbles all the time and is starting to scream at the kids if they do something he doesn't like. I'm sure he will start talking soon.

Here are some pictures that I took on his birthday at the park. Enjoy!
