Potty Pirate

My little pirate surprised me this morning about 2:30 by going potty by himself in the middle of the night. I think we can call him officially POTTY TRAINED!!!

Now to teach him pull up his own pants and to sit down in the middle of the night and first thing in the morning so I don't have to clean the floor at 2:30am. Still a very proud MOMMA!

What has Hunter been up to?

Hunter has taken off on his mobility these last 2-3 weeks, especially the last few days. Here are some of his "tricks". Also he finally has both top teeth broken through, and they are coming in fast too.

Hunter turns 10 Months

The months are still flying by at unbelievable speed still. I can't believe that Hunter is already 10 months old! He is still not crawling but he is moving a lot more. He can pretty much get anywhere that he wants. He is still so mellow though that most of the time he is content where he is at and isn't motivated by much to move. He is now able to sit himself back up after he gets on his belly. It only took him two days to master it after he did it the first time. He also is wanting to pull up on everything. He hasn't quite figured out how to though yet, but I think as soon as he does, he will be standing all the time like the other two did.

Here is a clip of some of what he does when he moves. It is kind of long and the kids come in and get loud toward the end and you can see how much he loves his siblings.

He loves to stand!

He also has started to mimic what we do sometimes. Most of the time it is clapping his hands, but the other day he was sticking his tongue out at Jessi too.

He is also eating all table food now. Though I don't know that he is getting enough and I might go and buy some more baby food. Especially if he is going to give up the bottle in two months. We will see. He just doesn't seem to chew very well. He is working on his front two teeth but right now, he only has his front two bottom teeth. I think that is what is making it hard for him. Most of the time he just pushes most of the food to the side of this cheek and then it sits there for a while. He is finally slowing down as far as his chub goes, but that could also be because he is moving a lot more. He doesn't act hungry very often.

Potty training. . . AGAIN

Tanner is doing a great job learning how to use the potty this time around. I think he is going to continue to do it this time. We have been in undies since Monday afternoon and have only had one #1 accident and a few #2 accidents. The first few days I would put a pull up on him over his undies when we had to go out for a while but he always stayed dry, so I am not doing that anymore. I trust him to go by himself for the most part but I still watch to make sure he isn't hiding in any corners (or closets). I think he is still having a hard time with knowing when he really needs to go poo. Though the way he would hide when he was in diapers, it kind of surprises me. I guess time will tell. I think he may have an occasional accident so I'm still going to pack an extra change of clothes, but NO MORE DIAPERS!!! When do I trust him enough to not wear pull ups at night? Any suggestions?

Oh, we made ice cream cone cupcakes too. They had some extra on the sides that I put on the above plate. I couldn't resist:)

Makeover Party

Jessi was able to go to her friend's makeover party for her birthday this week. They went to Raspberry Lips. This was the result. Her friend's mom bought and made their coordinating outfits. Enjoy!

Kindergarten!

Jessi started Kindergarten today! She is so excited to go to school. Here are a few pictures from the day. She only stayed about an hour and a half today and tomorrow will be her first full day but she is going to do great! No tears from anyone (except Tanner when I dropped him off at his friends so MJ and I could go to a parent orientation).

Jessi with her teacher, Mrs Carrol. Jessi and Daddy waiting in line to go inside. Jessi posing by our front door. And finally Jessi sitting on the rug in her room!

New toy room

While my sister was here, I decided that I would finally put the boys in the same room. Tanner has been excited about it and I had been going back and forth with wanting them in the same room and wanting a play room so I(we) finally did it.

It is a work in progress but not as messy as I though it would be. We spent about $75 getting blinds and a few more storage items and eventually I would like to get another unit with bins that we had in Jessi's room, but for now, I can live with it. I love that the kids can go in there and play and the mess ideally stays in one place. Realistically, I can at least put it all in that room at night and if I get to it that night, great, if not that is okay too.

Jessi's room looks so much bigger without the shelf in there and now she has room to keep her tent up. The boys room looks a little crowded but they only sleep in there so that is okay.

Here is the playroom. I love the rug in there and how everything fits around it. That was the picture in my head when I bought it.
