Back at home

Once we returned home. We were all exhausted! So we took a relaxing day and MJ washed our really dirty car with Jessi's help and then we played with some blocks and made a playground for Ariel and friends. Also we took some time to read for our summer reading program.

One Last Stop

Before leaving Idaho we decided to make one last stop at my grandparents home. We visited for about 30 minutes and took a few pictures then hit the road. I wish we were closer!

4th Of July Fun

We were super excited to be in Idaho for the 4Th. Not only to visit family, but to do fireworks too! After the reunions, we decided to go out to Grandpa's farm and shoot of our own instead of going to the city's show.

The boys had fun shooting of the fireworks and we had front row seats on the beach chairs. That was the only way to keep the kids at a distance that the mom's were comfortable with:)

My camera had a hard time focusing on all the changing lighting so my pictures aren't the best, but you get the idea.

I love the beautiful view that we always see from Grandpa's house.

I thought that my battery was dead, but I was able to use it again the next night to get some sparkler action at Aunt Corinne's house too.

Reunions

On the morning of the 3rd of July we attended a reunion for my Grandmother's siblings and down, on my mother's side. There were a ton of people in attendance, but unfortunately, I only really visited with my siblings, parents, grandparents, and my mom's brother's families instead of all the other people there. I just don't get to see them very often. I think the last reunion on this side of the family that I attended was more than 10 years ago.

My Grandma and her Siblings.

Grandma and Grandpa had never met Hunter before. So of course, I had to document:)

The kids had a blast playing together and hiding in the trees. The event was at a church there in Idaho that has a huge pavilion and grass area for us all to gather. It was a little cooler than anticipated so we moved all the tables out onto the grass to eat. The food was excellent and so was the company. I wish we were closer so that I could see everyone more and get to know more of the extended, extended family.

Here we are at the tables eating the wonderful food. Like I said, there were a ton of us.

Hunter hung out on his blanket while we ate. Until the cousins and siblings decided to torture him. He didn't mind though.

Later in the afternoon after the first reunion, we had a smaller reunion with just my grandparents and down. A lot more of my cousins attended this one and I was able to meet all of their children. It has been a long time since I have seen any of them. Growing up we usually saw each other every summer at my grandparent's farm. SO it was good to catch up a little and visit. Also I couldn't believe how big some of my younger cousins have gotten. It made me feel old! Again, great company and great food made for a wonderful day.

We played with the babies. Grandma and Grandpa had two granddaughters, and Hunter that they were meeting for the first time that day. This cutie with Hunter is Emily.

The boy were playing ring-around-the-roses I think.

Grandpa was playing horseshoes with the kids. Grandma had to make sure that they were safe.

Uncle Nathan took over after a while. I think Grandpa went to play a hatchet game that he brought for the older crowd.

Tanner and Caleb spent most of the day under these giant trees. They had a blast.

We all enjoyed visiting.

These are my Grandparents. My mom's parents. Aren't they adorable:)

This is my cousin Bret and his family. I think his kids were about 8 and 6 last time I saw them. His dad is my mom's older brother. He and his wife escaped the pictures somehow.

Mom, Dad, David and Joe.

Sister, Kathryn, and her family.

Us, I had to put both in, I couldn't pick a favorite:)

My sister, Corinne, and Ethan. Her husband was working nights the week that we were there, so we didn't get to see him much.

My mom's brother, Brent, and his wife Nina and their dog Nayla(sp). (Their other son was on vacation in Hawaii).

Brent's oldest son, Shawn and his wife and their dog.

Brent's daughter, Devani, and her family.

Brent's daughter, Kim, and her family.

My mom's brother Hal and this family. (missing 4 of their children)

My mom's brother, Jeff's family. He was also working nights this week. We missed him.

There were 2 other brothers and their families completely missing and a lot of cousins, but we were glad we were able to see a those that we did see. It was a great time and I hope we get to see everyone soon.

Visiting Idaho Relatives

The first part of July we were lucky enough to be able to drive to Idaho and visit with my sister Corinne and her family while attending some family reunions. Corinne had a very full house with my 5 and my sister's 5 we added 10 to her normal household of 3. She was a very gracious host. (Sorry for all the screaming and tantrums)
We visited while the kids played. We were also able to go to a play place there in Idaho Falls, but I didn't have my camera so you will have to link to my sister, Kathryn's, blog if you want to see pictures of that.
I didn't take many pictures while there, but here is a cute one of Hunter and Ethan playing together nicely for the moment:)

Tanner's Turn feeding Hunter

It wouldn't be fair if I didn't post Tanner also taking a turn feeding Hunter.

Slacker

So I have been a slacker for the last month in posting things. Really I have been busy having fun and at the end of the day I just want to crash. But I guess it is time to update before I have even more to do. Hopefully I will get some posts up tonight. If not, I will work on them this week. Be patient.
